How Much CBD Should You Take?

Cannabidiol — “CBD” for short — is all the rage these days. You’ll find CBD in all manner of products, from CBD-infused coffees to more straightforward CBD concentrates. Taking CBD is supposed to be good for your mind and body, but in order to enjoy the effects, you’ll need to take enough of the stuff that causes it. That begs the question of dosage. Just how much CBD are you supposed to take, and what will take more or less CBD actually do?

Why everyone is talking about CBD

First things first — why should you take any CBD at all?

There’s a reason that so many people are talking about CBD right now. CBD has powerful health benefits. According to the experts, CBD can reduce anxiety, help patients with mood disorders, ease the symptoms of insomnia, and more. And those are just the mental effects. CBD has benefits for your physical health, too, including the ability to reduce inflammation and the power to dull pain. CBD even has anti-cancer properties.

CBD is one of many cannabinoids — active ingredients in the drug marijuana. But CBD is non-psychoactive, which means that it will not get you high. This makes CBD a great choice for health buffs who are looking for something to add to their routines. CBD can be taken regularly, like a vitamin, or used on a case-by-case basis.

Taking CBD is easy because it is available (and legal) in so many forms. You’ll find CBD concentrates in pill and tincture form, but you’ll also find CBD edibles and CBD vape liquids.

Which brings us to the reason we’re here. When you are taking CBD in one of these forms, how much should you actually take?

The perfect CBD dosage: a moving target

It’s tough to find reliable information about the “correct” CBD dosage because it’s actually a bit of a moving target. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to CBD dosing. Different people will need different dosages.

Then there’s the fact that CBD can take so many different physical forms. As we just discussed, it is possible to take CBD with a tincture, in an edible, or by vaping, among other options. And then there are the CBD products that are not designed to be taken orally — like skin creams, for instance.

It’s tough to say exactly how much CBD you should take. But we can establish some rules of thumb and experiment from there.

Rules of thumb

While there is no “correct” dose of CBD to start with, we can at least pick a starting point and establish some basic parameters.

First, don’t focus too much on “drops” of CBD from a tincture or on the number of edibles you consume. Without knowing the concentration of CBD in these items, the numbers just aren’t meaningful. Instead, evaluate how much CBD you’re actually taking. Start with a few milligrams for every 10 pounds of your body weight — anywhere from one to five mg per ten pounds is a fine jumping-off point. Take CBD orally if you want to enjoy its effects to the fullest.

Finding your ideal CBD dosage

One to five milligrams per 10 pounds of body weight is just a starting point, of course. Everyone is different, and you may find that your particular body and CBD ingestion method lead you to raise or lower that dose. CBD is very safe, so feel free to test things out and try larger doses if you feel that you’re not getting the most out of your CBD.

With a little trial and error, you should be able to find the right CBD routine for you and live a healthier, happier life.

Retail Sales Tips: 9 Ways to Boost Sales For Your Business This Week

According to the United States Census Bureau, there were more than 513 billion dollars in retail sales in the US economy in November of 2017. That’s a ton of money exchanging hands on a daily basis and represents the number of potential sales you could have coming in your door.

But if you are new to the retail industry or if you don’t stay up to date with your marketing efforts, then it’s easy for your business to fall out of step and face failure.

That’s why we put together these retail sales tips so that you can bring new customers to your door and keep your loyal customers coming back.

1. Create a Competition for Your Employees

Everyone loves to win things, so why not start a competition for your employees for the week to see who can achieve the most sales? There are a lot of different ways to structure your competition.

You can try to make a commission style competition where each of your employees is competing against themselves to see how much of a certain item they can sell.

Or, depending on what kind of business you have, you may want to set a dollar amount goal for your employees to reach with their sales.

Another way to create a reward structure is to have your employees compete against each other, not just themselves. You could offer to give away a certain amount of merchandise, a gift, time off, or cash to the winner.

2. Create a Loyalty Program

Your employees aren’t the only people who would like to be rewarded for large purchases. You can also offer your customers a loyalty program to get them to spend more when they come to your store.

Many stores like to give their customers rewards that will be good on their next purchase to ensure the customer comes in again instead of giving them a discount off of their current purchase.

3. Create the Illusion of Scarcity

If you create a display in your store, you should only put a few out of each item and replenish them as they go. This is to create the illusion of scarcity for your customers.

If they believe like there won’t be one of the item left if they wait until next week, then they will be more likely to buy.

This principle applies in particular to retail clothing stores. You should only put out two or three items of each size at a time so that customers don’t think they can wait until next week when the item might go on sale.

4. Use the Science Behind Pricing Structures

There are a ton of different scientific principles that go into creating a good pricing structure for a retail store. Many of them have to do with how long the item is in the store and how frequently you get new items in.

But there are also other strategies. Another option is to carry one high-end item that competes with your best selling items. That way, when customers consider making a purchase, they will feel like they are making a more reasonable decision and won’t be so concerned about how much money they are spending.

5. Play Music That Makes Sense

Depending on what kind of business you run and what your customer demographic is, you will need to play different music. It’s important to put a good amount of time and energy into your selection because there are plenty of scientific studies out there to suggest music can play a major role in the decisions someone makes as they are shopping.

For example, if you go to a wine store that is playing French music, then you will be more likely to select a French bottle.

6. Put Popular, Inexpensive Items by the Register

Many major retailers like to put their most popular inexpensive items up front by the register so that people will be more likely to buy them.

If you sell anything that is small and can be considered an impulse buy, then make sure you put it in the right location in your store to maximize sales.

7. Consider a Suprise Reward Strategy

Another popular way to reward your customers and keep them coming back for more is to use a surprise reward strategy.

One way to do this is by handing your customer’s mystery reward cards when they enter your store. The cards will each be marked with a different percentage discount that can only be revealed at the register.

If you don’t want to spend a bunch of money on cards to hand out, then you should consider having your customer draw a percentage discount amount from a hat with multiple options. That way, their luck will be truly random.

8. Generate a Buzz

No matter which of the strategies on this list you try to employ, it’s important that you let your community know what you are doing.

If no one knows you are having a sale or handing out loyalty reward cards that week, then your efforts won’t have as much of an impact.

9. Track Your Metrics

If you are running a retail business, then it’s important that you stay up to date with your sales figures by monitoring your data using metrics. For more on retail execution strategies and software click here.

For data figures, you can reach out to your business’ accountant or keep track of your own records using an app.

What is Cannabidiol?

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if a substance out there could relieve chronic pain, anxiety, and even epileptic seizures without a prescription and had very few side effects or potential for addiction or overdose? What if it was affordable, organically grown, and easily accessible? Better yet, what if it could be delivered in the form of a brownie or lollipop?

Great news! This substance does exist, and it’s called cannabidiol, or CBD for short.

If you’ve heard of CBD, it may have been in a negative context. That’s largely because CBD is often confused with marijuana. Government entities at both the federal and state levels have long debated the legality of CBD simply because it’s derived from the same plant — cannabis — from which marijuana is made.

CBD doesn’t make you high

There are lots of species of cannabis plants, but perhaps the most prevalent and well-known are hemp and marijuana. Although a trained eye can spot the subtle distinctions in the appearance in the leaves and stalk structure of hemp and marijuana plants, the real differences are within the plants’ anatomy.

Both hemp and marijuana plants contain biological compounds called cannabinoids, two of which are tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD). THC is the chemical that produces the psychoactive, euphoric high, and sometimes paranoia that’s associated with marijuana use. CBD is nonpsychoactive, which means that it doesn’t alter your mental state. Instead, CBD has a calming and relaxing effect on the body, relieving stress and anxiety.

Hemp and marijuana plants contain both THC and CBD, but at vastly different levels. While marijuana can be composed of more than 20 percent THC and about 10 percent CBD, hemp usually contains 20 percent or more CBD and less than 0.3 percent of THC. For this reason, hemp is widely produced on dedicated farms across the United States; in fact, hemp is in such high demand that some states are actively encouraging more farms to switch from growing crops like tobacco to cultivating hemp.

The amazing effects of CBD

It may sound too good to be true, but multiple medical studies have shown that CBD alleviates symptoms and side effects of a wide range of conditions, including anxiety, depression, arthritis pain, and acne. CBD works by binding with some of the body’s nervous system neurotransmitters that regulate a variety of functions, including sleep, appetite, pain, and immune system response.

Perhaps some of the most promising and exciting potential use of CBD is as an effective treatment for epilepsy and multiple sclerosis. In fact, in June 2018, the US Food and Drug Administration approved a CBD oral solution for the treatment of seizures associated with two rare and severe forms of epilepsy — the first FDA-approved drug that contains CBD. And although CBD is not a cure for cancer, Parkinson’s disease, or Alzheimer’s, health professionals agree that CBD can effectively relieve symptoms and side effects of these conditions.

How to use CBD

In states where CBD has been approved for legal purchase and use, CBD products are available in concentrate, oil, vapor, and even edible form in retail stores and online. The people at CBD Distributors, for example, create high-quality CBD oils, concentrates, vape oils, and pet capsules for online purchase.

CBD products can’t be prescribed by physicians, but they are often recommended and suggested dosages are based on the patient’s particular need. The Mayo Clinic recommends a daily oral dosage of 40 to 160 mg of CBD oil  for someone looking for relief from a sleep disorder, for instance. Of course, ideal effective dosages will depend upon a number of factors, so the clinic recommends starting with a low dosage and increasing gradually until you feel significant relief.

One of the best and most important aspects of CBD is that you simply cannot overdose on this substance. CBD has no established lethal dose, and even very high doses have been shown to be well-tolerated. Care should be taken, however, to ensure that CBD will not react with another medication you’re taking, so ask your doctor about potential interactions is highly recommended.

Do I Need An Accountant? Signs You Are Ready to Hire One

As a small business owner, you’re trying to cut costs and increase profits. Perhaps you’re doing your own accounting, outsourcing work, and creating your own invoices. As your business grows and its needs become more complex, these tasks become more and more challenging.

According to a survey, 40% of small businesses spend more than 80 hours on tax preparation each year. That’s a lot of time that they could use in a different way. You could focus on customer acquisition, expand your operations, or improve your products.

Luckily, you can always hire an accountant to handle payroll, tax preparation, bookkeeping, and other tasks. This will not only free up your time but also help you avoid costly mistakes that may hurt your revenue — and your reputation.

If you’re asking yourself “Do I need an accountant?” read on. Here are three signs that it’s time to hire a professional to manage your finances.

Bookkeeping Is Draining Your Energy

Bookkeeping can be challenging and time-consuming. It often takes you away from more important tasks, such as identifying problem areas or growing your business. Many entrepreneurs simply don’t have enough time for it.

A skilled accountant can take that pressure off your shoulders and streamline your day-to-day operations. You’ll no longer have to worry about missed payments or the ever-changing tax regulations.

Furthermore, accountants can identify tax deductions that you may not be aware of. With their help, you’ll keep more money in your pocket and avoid unnecessary expenses. This site shows how small businesses can benefit from hiring an accountant, so check it out to learn more.

You’re Hiring New Employees

As a self-employed or small company, it’s not difficult to do your own taxes. However, handling the payroll for five employees is completely different than processing payroll for 50 employees. Even the smallest mistake can result in hefty fines.

More than half of U.S. workers are affected by payroll issues. Approximately 49% will start to search for a new job after experiencing two problems with their paycheck. Furthermore, incorrect payroll fillings result in IRS penalties for 40% of small to medium-sized companies.

An accountant can handle payroll on your behalf and ensure that your employees get paid on time. He will also take care of more complex issues, such as paying workers in a different state or deducting employee bonuses.

You’re Expanding Your Operations

Growing your business is an exciting step in your journey as an entrepreneur. Like everything else, it comes with its share of challenges.

During this process, you may hire new people, take on additional vendors, reach out to global customers, and so on. All of that leads to more paperwork. It gets even more difficult if you want to buy property or expand into a different state or country.

Unless you’re accountant yourself, you may not be able to handle these things on your own. Each state has different laws and regulations, and failure to comply can lead to penalties or even lawsuits.

Don’t take unnecessary risks, especially now when your business is growing. A good accountant can be a lifesaver.

Do I Need an Accountant?

Still wondering “Do I need an accountant?” In addition to the scenarios described above, there are plenty of other situations where you may need professional help.

Whether you’re paying too much tax, looking to make a larger investment, or starting a new business, hiring an accountant can make all the difference. Those who work in this field have the skills and knowledge to advise how to maximize your deductions, make smart investments, and mitigate risks.

If tax time is causing you stress, do something about it. Check out these simple changes you can make to improve your office life and enjoy better health.

Employee Appreciation: The Top 11 Personalized Gift Ideas for Office Staff

75% of employees voluntarily leaving their jobs are leaving their bosses. Sure, leaving for better pay is another reason, but it’s not the biggest. What good is another few bucks an hour if the boss sucks?

Employees want a boss who cares about their success and failures. They don’t want a robot that only looks at numbers and quotas. The performance takes a hit when the job doesn’t feel rewarding.

So, reward your employees with some employee appreciation gifts. Stationary and office swag is cool, but if you need some ideas, you’re in the right place. We have some gift ideas for office staff and managers, too.

These are the 11 best personalized and unique gifts for employees who deserve recognition.

1. Custom Swag Bags

Bagmasters is a good example of an easy, effective, and unique company gift bags. Tote bags are a godsend for grocery shopping. Pair a set of sturdy bags with the multi-bag handles and you have yourself a one-tripper.

Employees will appreciate a practical gift that keeps on giving.

2. Chocolates

We’re not talking about a cheap Hershey’s candy bar or a generic variety bag. Get your top performers some artisan chocolate. You haven’t lived until you’ve had authentic chocolate from a chocolatier.

We recommend Belgium, Sweden, and Italy, for starters.

3. Desk Plants

Office spaces get stale and boring without some greenery. Even employees that protest taking care of a plant will appreciate this gift idea. Go to Home Depot or Walmart and pick up some cheap succulents.

These hearty indoor plants look awesome and don’t require much care. A little water every few weeks and they’ll brighten your day.

4. Tasting Tours

Think outside the standard gift boxes and gift cards. Take your start performers out on a visual and taste-testing tour. If you make it a group outing, you can further strengthen team bonds.

Wine and beer taste tours are better than just buying them a glass. They get to discover new flavors and have their fill for the day. Be their Willy Wonka for the day.

5. Organizing Gifts

These gift ideas for office staff work best for your overachievers. Gifting journals, desk bins, sticky notes, calendars, and etc., is great. Try to make these either into gift baskets or a combination set.

Again, not everyone is going to feel the same way about receiving a pack of notecards. Gather intel before sending out these gifts.

6. Food Baskets

While this may not seem like the most original gift, food baskets are very personable. A basket full of random cheeses isn’t the most thoughtful idea. A basket with an employee’s favorite foods can be.

Try something outside cheeses and non-perishables. Go for some boxes of steaks and artisan cheeses. Look for premium meal delivery services if you want to gift foods.

7. Scented Gifts

Candles, cologne, and incense are underrated appreciation gifts. A quality candle can transform a room’s entire mood. A nice bottle of cologne can do the same for the person and others nearby.

These types of gifts are a bit unorthodox for employees to receive. The unexpected nature adds to their charm and makes employees feel special. Because scents are so personal, try to research what they like before giving.

If they are sensitive to strong perfumes, try essential oils as gifts instead.

8. Ties, Socks, Bows

Small accessories that can be incorporated into the dress code are ideal gifts. You can gift branded apparel, but they have to be hard-to-get. Don’t gift stuff that can be bought on the company store.

If you do pull something from the store, make sure it’s worth more than $20-30. Get some custom artwork done to personalize company-branded clothing.

9. Tumblers and Coffee Cups

A cup of Joe isn’t just any normal drink. This magical serum is responsible for some of the happiest and brightest workers. In fact, many have found coffee to be the best benefit later in the day.

The problem is that your morning Joe gets cold and reheating it ruins the flavor. Gift your employees with some insulated tumblers that can stay hot. This should also reduce the number of coffee spills in the office, too.

10. A Yoga Mat

This might sound like a funny gift, but it’s great for everyone. Yoga is no longer a niche workout for suburban moms. Athletes and gym rats swear by yoga as a key exercise.

If your office space allows for it, suggest employees use their yoga mats outside their desk.

11. Immune-Boosters & Sanitizers

Staying germ-free is critical for a healthy workplace. Liberal use of hand sanitizers often leads to another hidden cost for employees. Gift them a set of sanitizers for travel and their desk.

Combine this with some immune-boosting supplements. This can be Vitamin C tabs, zinc pills, or natural cooking ingredients. Turmeric, ginger, and garlic are a few favorites for some natural panacea.

Selecting Gift Ideas for Office Staff

Remember to hand out these gifts in a fair and meaningful way. You can tell everyone how gifts will be rewarded or do it behind the scenes. If you hand out gifts based on performance, make sure they understand why.

Employees can often feel suspicious about favoritism, so we recommend more transparency. Gag gifts and things gifted outside of performance should be done off the clock. You should also try to work your way around to everyone for those types of gifts.

Consistent Rewards

The last thing you want to do is fall short on your gifts for office staff. Make sure you buy plenty to cover months at a time. Try to make the estimated value of each gift the same, too.

No, sanitation packs aren’t going to cost the same as a wine tasting tour. The gift needs to match the effort or the employee is going to feel undervalued. Have your accounting department crunch some numbers before gifting.

With retention becoming so vital in today’s economy, you have to put more thought into this. A personalized gift is very powerful. Employees who are stressed out need vacations and a boss who cares.

9 Essential Tools Every DIY Craftsman and Hobbyist Needs for Their Workbench

Success in any craft relies on your ability to find the right tools and use them to your advantage. As you’re trying to be a better hobbyist or craftsman, you need to assemble different equipment. You should also be willing to constantly learn new tricks on how to use these tools.

Here are 9 essential tools you may need for your DIY home improvement projects.

1. A Toolbox as One of the Essential Tools

Consider getting a toolbox that’s big enough to accommodate all of your essential tools.

You should also get one that comes with a latch and a closing lid for safety and security purposes. Your toolbox needs to be portable and sturdy to allow you to use it both outdoors and indoors. You can also construct a DIY toolbox at home with precisely-cut wood and nails.

Most toolboxes usually have compartments that allow you to store tools of different sizes and shapes. They also enable you to organize your DIY items in a place you’ll easily retrieve.

Expert craftsmen recommend vertical toolboxes over the horizontal ones. The vertical ones can store your items in a vertical manner and allow you to easily retrieve them, unlike the horizontal ones.

2. A Pair of Scissors

A pair of scissors is among the must-have hand tools for your home DIY projects. Get at least three pairs of scissors made of stainless steel for durability.

One pair should be 8-inches long for cutting zigzag patterns on ribbons/fabric while the other pair should be 5-inches long for intricate cuts.

A waterjet cutter can be an ideal solution for cutting harder items such as steel since it can deliver 10,000 times the cutting power of a pair of scissors. But you first need to learn how it works.

3. A Flashlight with LED Bulbs

You need a LED flashlight to help you pursue your home DIY projects in power outage situations.

The flashlight should come with a battery that can deliver at least 8 hours lighting time. Choose one that’s suited for all working conditions since home DIY projects can take place indoors or outdoors.

The flashlight can help you find your way to the store or basement when there’s a sudden power outage. You can also use it when the power is back to find items such as screws or nails in dimly-lit places.

4. Short and Long Tape Measures

Both long and short tape measures help you get precise measurements as you’re pursuing your home DIY projects.

Consider getting those that lock and retract since they can enable you to use them without having to hold them down.

Such tape measures can also retract once you’re done taking measurements.

5. Screws and Screwdrivers

Screws, which are among the essential tools for home, can either have a small cross in the middle or have a single slot on a flat top. You’ll need a screwdriver to use them in projects such as fixing doorknobs and connecting cabinet doors.

Consider getting a basic screwdriver set and storing it in your toolbox. You should also get a screwdriver with a comfortable grip and sturdy design.

6. A Sturdy Clamp

As a DIY craftsman, most of your projects will involve piecing different things together. You need a sturdy clamp to help hold these items in place as you join them together. A 4-feet clamp may be ideal for you since it can hold stools and small tables.

Always choose a clamp made of stainless steel and one that’s manufactured by a reputable company. You should also get one that can suit the project you want to pursue.

Since clamps can’t fit in a toolbox, you’ll need to place them in your basement or garage.

7. A Versatile Hammer

A hammer comes handy when you’re handling materials that need to be joined together with a nail. Your hammer should feature a claw to remove nails from a wooden or concrete surface. You can even use this tool in projects that require some force such as breaking a concrete surface or joining two frames together.

You should get a hammer weighing 16 ounces since it’s suited for both heavy-duty and lightweight jobs. The tool should also have a smooth head for driving nails to the targeted surface. Choose one with a grip made of rubber or plastic for comfort.

Sturdily designed hammers give you the right balance needed to swing them back and forth to a nail.

8. Glue Sticks and Glue Gun

Glue sticks and a glue gun are among the tools you need when working with wood, fabric, plastic or paper. The hot glue gun helps attach the glue sticks to the desired surface. The gun can be designed with different temperature settings to make the glue sticks easy to install, clean and dry.

You can get a low-temperature glue gun when working with delicate materials such as foam, floral, fabrics, and paper.

A high-temperature glue gun is ideal for small home repairs or craft projects involving cardboard, metal or wood. Consider getting a hybrid multi-temperature glue gun if you want dual temperature settings for your glue sticks.

The multi-temperature device allows you to work with different types of materials simultaneously.

9. Electrical Tape or Duct Tape

An electrical tape, which is made of vinyl, comes handy when you want to insulate your electrical wires. You can count on it to seal your pipes or repair damaged wires in your house.

A duct tape, on the other hand, is a sticky tape that’s easy to tear. You can use these tapes for quick repair jobs in your home.

Take Charge of Your DIY Home Improvement Projects with High-Quality Essential Tools

One of the reasons why you should consider carrying out DIY projects is to save money for hiring a contractor. The essential tools discussed above help you carry out projects such as fixing cabinet doors, decorating your living room and insulating your electrical wires. Most of them can easily fit in your toolbox and are portable.

4 Reasons You Should Drink Coffee at Work

Of all the things that we rely on to stay awake at work, coffee is at the top of the list. While having too much caffeine in your system can lead to a variety of long-term health issues, drinking coffee in moderation has plenty of benefits.

You may be the only one, or among the few, who stayed away from coffee, especially when it comes to work. In addition to making you feel good throughout the day, this drink can help make your job something you actually look forward to. Here are four reasons you should drink coffee at work.

Increased alertness

When it comes to staying awake, very few stimulants are as reliable as caffeine. Caffeine is found in a variety of products that we use throughout the day, including both beverages and snacks. And they all come in handy when you have a lot of work projects on your plate, especially if you’re working under a deadline. Drinking coffee at work can provide the alertness you need to maintain your focus throughout the workday.

Whether you’re overloaded at an office job that needs a check printing service, or you’re on your feet all day at a construction site, coffee is extremely helpful for keeping you going late into the day and ensuring you have the energy to finish your tasks. Options such as Ethiopian coffee are known for giving your central nervous system the boost it needs to walk home from work thinking, “mission accomplished”.

Reduced stress and pain

One of the biggest factors that can get in the way of being productive at work is physical, mental, or emotional pain. This could be pain in your back, legs, or arms that you’ve ignored for a while, or emotional issues that prevent you from getting a good night’s sleep.

That’s where coffee comes in, as it helps prevent sleep-deprivation. The proteins that come from coffee keep nerve cells safe from the damage that comes with stress. It’s also a reliable pain moderator, especially for people who sit for long hours at work.

Improved productivity

As we mentioned earlier, when it comes to being awake for longer periods of time, coffee provides us with more time in the day to spend at work. This allows us to get more work done, which can come in handy if you’re falling behind a little bit with your assignments. Coffee proved to be a reliable source for productivity and efficiency at work back in the 20th century, specifically during World War II, when coffee breaks were made mandatory.

If coffee could help people get work done during wartime, then there’s no reason why it shouldn’t be helpful if you’re working in an office, small store, or restaurant. You may not only get assignments done faster, but you might also get ahead on work that isn’t due until later down the line. This also allows you to make your status known to your superior much quicker, which could impress them with how much you can get done.

More socialization

The energy that comes with drinking coffee can be helpful in other situations beyond work productivity. With more energy, you’re now able and more willing to engage in conversations with coworkers and even people in different departments, depending on the kind of work you have to do. Installing a coffee maker in the kitchen will provide a central location for coworkers to gather, exchange stories, and take a much needed break. The coffee pot is the new office water cooler, after all.

Keep all of this in mind so that you can use coffee to create a more enjoyable working experience.

Benefits of buying gold online and things to remember post-purchase

Some of the prominent features of online shopping are free delivery, 15 to 30 days return policy, cash back, discounts, loyal bonus, you can buy gold jewellery designs that are famous or popular in other regions with just a click. When enquiring about the mindset of people who buy gold online, we came to an understanding that people again have this trust factor which is associated very strongly to the establishment which is proving gold online. The price of the jewel varies from 20k to 4L depending on the weight and design. Some of the things you must look before you buy are:

∙        The purity of the gold

∙        Check for the added wastage cost

∙        BIS and other hallmark certificates for the gold which confirms its quality

In addition to the above things, it is important to look out for the price. Comparing the price with other retailers is very important. Gold also attracts a 3% GST according to the new rule so keep that also in mind. The price of the jewel will be calculated by adding the cost of karat, making charges, waste, and GST. Here, making charges and waste will be reduced by the retailer to a considerable amount and the remaining will be charged at the end price along with GST. Whether you are buying gold from a physical retailer on an online shop it is very important to have a detailed conversation with the store personnel or the customer support in case of online. This will give you a good understanding of how the system works. In case there is a change of mind after the purchase, you should know how you can exchange the jewel. Few of the must carry things when you are exchanging are:

∙        The document of purchase or the bill

∙        Packaging or box (though this doesn’t verify your purchase, it is bringing in gratitude on giving back what you have got from them)

∙        The certificates which will be given in addition to proving the quality of the jewel.

Most of often people from small cities come to bigger cities to purchase gold. The reason is again an inherited perception that more purchases happen in bigger cities so there will be a lot of collections and designs and also the price point will be competitive and there is this another important factor as always, trust. It becomes extremely difficult for them to trust a local retailer because of the number of duplicate gold cases that have been registered in the country. Coming to a bigger city means you are more informed and the players are also established. So branding plays an important role here. If you look at the buying pattern of people from small cities they prefer gold over the diamond. The white jewel appeals only the affluent population or the city dwellers. If you ask me diamond earrings are sold only in select cities but gold is sold everywhere.
