Using a needle:
If you live in an area with no soft water available, then you would have to clean your shower head more often than others because hard water has magnesium and calcium as bicarbonates in it. The compounds are dissolved in the shower head. The shower head consists of small holes, and these can be blocked easily due to some dirt or anything else.
When hard water passes through the shower head, the dissolved bicarbonates of magnesium and calcium are deposited on the edges of the holes of the shower head. In extreme conditions, the holes get completely blocked by these compounds. In this way, it becomes impossible for water to pass through the holes.
These holes can be descaled by using a needle. The needle method is the most commonly used method to descale a shower head. The only needle is required to descale the shower. This needle should be smaller than the hole of the shower head in circumference. Now, try to remove the deposited bicarbonates from the edges of the holes. After the removal of these compounds, wash the shower head with water, and your shower head will be in working order again.
Using white vinegar:
If the needle method did not work for you, then you should try the white vinegar method. Make sure you try the needle method firstly because the white vinegar method is not good for your shower head. As the white vinegar is acidic, it may damage the shiny upper coating of the shower head. That is why it is recommended to use the needle method first.
So, for this method, white vinegar, water, and a plastic bag or Ziploc bag will be used. First, mix one cup of white vinegar and one cup of water in a bowl. Now, pour this mixture into the shopping bag or Ziploc bag and submerge the shower head into the mixture. The vinegar will dissolve all the deposited bicarbonates in it, and the shower will start working perfectly again.

Both of the above-mentioned methods work very well. In most cases, the needle will solve your problem, but if it does not, then use the vinegar method; also, if you make it your habit to descale your shower head 3-4 times a year.
